After many proposals to develop Bangalore on the lines of Singapore, it is now the turn of Mangalore to receive a tourism development plan based on Singapore experience. For, a Singapore-Malaysia-based consortium is expected to submit a proposal for tourism development in Mangalore at a cost of about of Rs. 4,500 crore under Public-Private Partnership (PPP).
A presentation in this regard was made before Tourism Minister G. Janardhan Reddy on Thursday after the inauguration of the new office of Jungle Lodges and Resorts.
The proposal “Connectivity enabled integrated development for Mangalore city”, aligned with the Mangalore City Vision 2025 plan was made by Ravindra Kumar, co-founder of Strada Architects and Consultants, on behalf of a consortium, who are yet to be named. [Read more...]
