After a successful showing in January, Nouveaau in association with t2 is back. And the “fashion, art and lifestyle” fair will pack in a lot more than just a one-day exhibition this time. A fashion show on July 14 is a new initiative. “The designers have been telling us to organise a fashion show. We are also looking to offer a change to our clientele,” says Neena Kanoi, who along with Shruti Goenka started Nouveaau six years ago.

The Tantra ramp show will feature collections by designers Poonam Bhagat, Amrisha J, Jyoti Jain, Raj Shroff, Monisha Tharyamal, Yusuf Maklai and Ranu Khaitan.

The exhibition, with more than 60 participants from across India, is slated for July 17 at the Taj Bengal between 11am and 8pm. Saris, lehngas, western wear and kids wear will be on sale. You can also shop for jewellery — silver, silver-plated, diamond, gold and jadau. Footwear completes the package.

Home decor buys include cushion covers, throws, runners, bed linen and ceramic pots. “This time we have a lot of young painters. A chanderi weaver from a village in UP is another highlight. He will have a large collection of saris, salwar kurtas and dupattas,” says Neena. [Read more...]
